Free cataract surgery for 21 persons

Lions Club of Madras KRS (West Mambalam) organised free eye screening camp on Aug.17 at Cambridge Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Saidapet.

21 persons were diagnosed for free cataract surgery among 150 persons screened in a camp. The team of doctors from Kumaran Eye Speciality Center examined the patients.

The program was inaugurated by S. Bose (District Governor, Lions International 324l F) in presence of Dr.M.Kumaran (Founder of Kumaran Eye Speciality Center), R. Sivakumar (Zone Chairperson, Lions Club of Madras KRS), S. Mangayarkkarsi (President) and S.Y. Narayanan (Secretary).  

Independence day celebration with children

Tech Mahindra Foundation - Smarth Academy candidates of Nursing celebrated Independence day by conducting games, entertained the children with cancer along, with Golden butterflies an organisation who work with such children recently in Habibullah Road,T.Nagar.Vishaal (the project head of Tech Mahindra Foundation) -Smarth Academy along with faculty gave away art kits and had food along with the children . They also encourage candidates to enroll for training in GDA and Palliative care three months course and certificate shall be provided with job opportunities.
