Penakkal Peravai organized an event headed by its founder
N.C. Mohandoss, held at Anna Centenary Library Building, Kotturpuram, for an interface with Senior Novelist of Crime Stories, Rajesh Kumar a few social activists were honoured in the event.Dr. Sai Sankara Panchapakesan for being instrumental for more than 2 lakh marriages in 35 years through Chennai Sai Sankara Matrimonials (Brahmins) and Chennai Sai Muruga Matrimonials (For Other Caste). He is also extending free services exclusively for differently abled through Chennai Sai Thunai Matrimonials. He is a well known Philanthropist also for literary, cultural and Vedic Activities.
Lion Dr. K. Gopinath is the State General Secretary of TamilNadu Udavikkaram Association for the Welfare of Differently Abled (TNUAWDA) for over 30 years. He is polio affected in both legs and actively involved in Lions Clubs also. Lena Tamilvanan, Udhayam Ram (Secretary,Uratha Sindanai) and Ambulance Santhakumar were also honoured.
Financial help was also extended for the deserving. Auditor Kalaimamani J. Balasubramanian, Kalaimamani Makkal Kural Ramji, Malarvanam Ramki, Novelist Devi Bala and Penakkal Peravai members participated in the event .
