Workshop on first aid for firecracker injuries

Radhatri Nethralaya conducted its 13th annual Diwali workshop on first aid for firecracker injuries to the eyes on Oct.14 at its main branch in T. Nagar. 110 school students and 37 teachers from 37 schools in Chennai attended and benefitted from the hands on workshop conducted by Dr. Vasumathy Vedantham, Medical Director, Radhatri Nethralaya. The students enacted out several scenarios of cracker injuries under her expert guidance. All the participating students received certificates of participation, pamphlets to be distributed in their respective shools and first aid kits from the hands of the chief guest Archana Ramasundaram, IPS (Retd), Ex. DGP, Former member of Lokpal. Dr. Praveen Krishna, Medical Director Radhatri Nethralaya and Niranjan Solanki, President, Shree Mahaveer International also graced the workshop with their presence.

The chief guest Archana, gave an inspiring speech on importance of discipline in daily life and staying safe to the attending students.
