Students celebtates Diwali in School

The students, teachers and staff of Jaigopal Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School (Postal Colony 4th Street, West Mambalam) were celebrated Diwali with cultural programs and bursting of crackers in the school playground on Oct.16.

The school students were performed pooja, recited slogams, performed Lord Vishnu's Dasavatharam and kolattam dance as part of celebrations.
Nagasuran vatham held in the school playground where huge doll installed and it was burnt with crackers.
Dr. Girija Seshadri (School Correspondent) said that every year Diwali celebrated in grand manner for about 30 years.
The teachers were briefed importance and purna stories about Diwali celebrations, she added.
She said that some students are unable buy crackers and celebrate Diwali in their households, similar students were selected to burn crackers in the school playground.
All precautionary steps were taken during the celebrations.
